The Sandcastle sequence plays immediately after another Marko scene that now sticks out and is basically pointless. It was still good, though I had no complaints about the theatrical score. I didn't notice the score change all that much. Bernard never bothered me as much as it did most, but the replacement sequence gets to the point much faster and doesn't need any expositional dialogue so it's an instant win. Think it was missing some fx work though, which was jarring. Brief but necessary character moment to bring Flint back into the story. They feel more like real friends that have turned on each other. He's a total douche in this scene, more fun and more interesting. In the theatrical cut, Peter is dead serious. The conversation Emo Peter and Harry have before fighting has been switched out for another take. Re-ordering the symbiote suit sequences only added a few seconds of extra footage but it felt so much more sinister. Really effective. The small changes made some dramatic differences. If you grab this set fast, you can get $7.50 off a ticket to Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is a pretty good deal.I really enjoyed the Editor's Cut.

Or to be more precise, a new version of an old film the movie in question is the much. Spider-Man: Homecoming is little over a month away from release, but before that hits cinemas a 'new' Spider-Man film has been made available. The former is a slightly extended version of the movie we already loved, and the latter is a newly released cut of the troubled film that is allegedly better (again, haven't watched it yet). An 'Editor's Cut' of Spider-Man 3 has been made available, although it doesn't change the movie as much as expected. Some notable additions to this collection are Spider-Man 2.1 and Spider-Man 3: The Editor's Cut. There also a good number of commentaries, leaving you with many ways to watch each film. There are hours and hours of featurettes and documentaries. I also haven't had time to look a lot through extras, but everything from previous home releases seems to be included. The picture quality is fabulous, particularly in Spider-Man 2. Haven't read those yet but it's a nice touch nonetheless. Before the films is a section of booklet with a short essay on each film. It follows the digibook approach with nice hardcover exterior and some papercard pages where each disc rests. Of course, the movies themselves are very good (Spider-Man 3 only having good PARTS), but I'll just give a quick review here if the set itself and the extras.Ĭover art is not great, but you can see that. If you were hoping for added material and hours of deleted stuff from the vaults, you might be underwhelmed. The only reason this new set is worth getting is for the new cut of Spider Man 3. There's more that shows the black suit is a separate entity from Peter, there's a short but bittersweet scene between the Sandman and his daughter and others. However, the pacing and storytelling is marginally better with the exception of a few new additions that add some emotional weight. If you hated the third film and think this will redeem it, you might be disappointed considering scenes like the infamous dance scene are left in. Most of the material is minimal but the small stuff enhances some big character moments. In regards to the new edit, it's a nice inclusion that takes material out but restores some new scenes. 1 and the Editors cut is a good deal, however, it is not worth paying that kind of money for this cut of Spider-Man 3 alone, as aside from this cut and a. The only reason this gets a 4 star rating is the inclusion of the new "Editor's Cut" of Spider Man 3. If you own the original Blu Rays of the first three Spider Man films, there is nothing new to see here.
